These cuff links are crafted from authentic Buffalo Nickels minted from 1913-38. We select nickels to reveal key details of the coin, like the horn on the head and the date. We then treat them to a round of tumbling & oxidation to further bring out the details - after all, its the details that history lovers appreciate most.


Our Tokens sterling silver clasp is securely soldered on the back providing a secure and simple design that features the entirety of the coin.


Each pair of cuff links comes in a Tokens & Icons gift box.

A Most American Coin

Tokens works closely with reputable coin exchanges to source these remarkably enduring coins, still coveted by collectors today. James Fraser designed the Buffalo Nickel in 1911 and the first coins were minted in 1913. During the Buffalo Nickels' 25 years of being minted, there were numerous modifications as both the text, date and value on the coin, and the die to make the coin, were easily worn. Despite the technical concerns of the time, Fraser accomplished his goal to design "a coin that could not be mistaken for any other country's coin...the buffalo, as part of our western background, was 100% American."
