This watch features a dial that is "clean" -  that is designspeak for a simple dial without hour markers, date indicators, sub-dials or logos.  Architects in particular appreciate minimalist design.  Crafted from the authentic copper flashing used on the roof of the Isabelle R. Martin House at Graycliff designed by Frank Lloyd Wright.

Product Details

Copper roof panels were recovered during a restoration project at the the Graycliff estate.  Our artisans carefully cut the metail flashing into discs which become the dial in a 40mm stainless steel bezel. Battery operated Swiss Movement. Mineral crystal.

Brushed stainless caseback engraved "Frank Lloyd Wright Graycliff Estate".  Black Italian leather strap with contrast stitching.

Arrives in a Tokens gift box.  

Watches have a 40mm stainless steel bezel. Durable leather strap measures 197mm (approx. 7-3/4"), standard for most wrists.

Authenticity

Officially licensed by Graycliff Estate.  Includes Certificate of Authenticity.

Watches have a one year warranty from date of purchase.

The movement uses a type 364 battery, should replacement be required, take to your local jeweler or send to us.

Graycliff Estate

The Graycliff Estate was designed by Frank Lloyd Wright and was built between 1926 and 1931. It is a premier example of his organic style of architecture, relying on stone. Located near Buffalo, New York, it served as a summer residence for Isabelle R. Martin and her husband.


He also designed the grounds and gardens on the large 8.5 acre site. Today it is preserved by the Graycliff Conservancy and open to visitors.


This estate is one of the few Frank Lloyd Wright designs that was built between 1925 and 1935 and is considered to be one of his most important mid-career works. Tokens is thrilled to be working with Graycliff on this recovered copper roofing material.
