Product Details

Set in a 4-prong sterling silver setting, each marble piece features the slight wear of commuter and sightseer traffic. Choose between charm only or include an adjustable 18" sterling silver curb chain. Officially licensed by the New York Transit Authority, each pendant comes in a GCT gift box with a Certificate of Authenticity.

Authenticity

It took 11 years for Tokens & Icons to become the first licensee of the New York Transit Authority in 1991. 26 years later Tokens continues to produce new styles under license to the MTA, your assurance of authenticity.

Periodic cleaning with a silver cloth is recommended.

Restoring Grand Central Terminal's Marble Floor

From 2007-2012, the MTA worked to restore the marble floor of Grand Central Terminal. In order to perfectly match the new tile to the existing slabs, the Transit Authority persuaded the quarry of the original Tennessee pink marble to reopen for this project after it had been closed for nearly 30 years. The marble used for this jewelry is from the slabs that were replaced. Please visit the NY MTA's site to learn more about the restoration.
