Baseball Backstop Net Frame

Upon a visit to the Steiner Sports warehouse, we unearthed a large amount of backstop netting from older MLB ballparks.  The netting is all there is between the fans seated behind home plate and fast-moving foul tips.  We developed several samples of a wall-mounted shadow box with the netting mounted in a wood frame in front of an image of a pitcher delivering to home plate.  Putting the viewer in the venue, enjoying the game... safely.

Project Details

These samples were crafted as a way to make use of the backstop netting found in most ballparks.  Two sizes were created: 11" x 14" and 10" x 12" The netting is carefully mounted toward the front edge to create a shadow box effect.  Add your team's imagery to bring the look of the game to your home or office.

More About Past Prototypes

Tokens is based on the creative re-use of existing, authentic materials.  Often times we get an inspiration or receive some materials from a client that triggers a design concept.  In many cases, we find real materials deserve real samples.  While these are not for sale, they are shown here as a representation of our capabilities.  If your organization has some materials that you'd like to memorialize in this fashion, we'd love to collaborate on a custom program with you.
