Atlanta United FC

August 17, 2020

Atlanta United FC wanted to find a way to let their season ticket holders & fans "Wear the Win" as they emerged as Champions of the 2018 Major League Soccer season.

 Audience Participation

It starts with team artifacts.  Atlanta United provided Tokens with two balls from their Conference Finals match against the New York Red Bulls contested 11/25/18.

Tokens took the ball from there and transformed into sterling silver cuff links and pendants.

Colorful sections of the ball were isolated and bezel set in sterling.  For the pendants, a sterling curb chain was included.  All items presented in a gift box with an Authentication card that includes a team-provided thank you.

Jagr's 700th Goal Net

July 14, 2020

This 2014 project for the New Jersey Devils entailed making sterling cuff links from the goal net into which Jaromir Jagr scored his 700th goal on March 1, 2014 against the New York Islanders at Nassau Coliseum. He became one of only 7 players to accomplish this feat.

Tokens worked with the Devils to provide this hand-numbered card with each pair of cuff links for the team's internal gifting.

IndyCar Race Driven Carbon Fiber

EJ Viso at the 2013 Sonoma Grand Prix

In 2013, Neiman Marcus reached out to Tokens to help bring a piece of the Indy Car excitement to their iconic Holiday Gift Book. EJ Viso, who raced for Andretti Autosport, has a personality as dynamic as his car is fast.  EJ worked with Tokens and lent his enthusiastic personal touch to the project. Tokens crafted cuff links from various parts of EJ's track-used carbon fiber shells that were otherwise rendered useless when he made contact with the guard walls.

Tokens worked to ensure that each cuff link disc had two colors from this Rear Wing End Plate. The green circles above indicate each cut and the bold black circle directly match the Red, Yellow and Blue pairs above.

Tokens created an industrial steel stand for a few show pieces of the fun body parts.

One of the pieces featured Neiman Marcus' sponsorship of EJ.  Tokens gifted it to Neiman's management as a thank you for bringing us EJ & this unique & stimulating project.

New York Stock Exchange Floor

July 14, 2020

In 2013, the New York Stock Exchange reached out to Tokens via an introduction from Scott O'Neil of the Philadelphia 76ers. They were removing a small footprint of their original Exchange floor and were interested in using this material to make cuff links for members of their community. The trading floor wood, which was removed to install a new kiosk, truly shows the wear & tear of active traders. Designed with the original 1903 floor dimensions of 109' by 140' in mind.

Wilt Chamberlain's 100-Point Game

July 13, 2020

Shortly after Scott O'Neil arrived at the Philadelphia 76ers, Tokens was asked to craft gifts made from the floor of Hershey Sports Arena to honor Wilt Chamberlain's 100 point game in 1962. The 100th point went through with 46 seconds left on the clock and was the final bucket of the game before fans rushed the court. Harvey Pollack was the Philadelphia Warriors PR director who created the 100 point sign. Later, he was the authenticator of this floor for the 76ers when Hershey Park transferred it in 2012.

These cuff links were used as gifts for a local Philadelphia Civic Community Group. For projects like this, Tokens will work with your team to enable the most efficient method of transfer of the artifacts. Any unused portions or remnants can be returned to the client or held in our warehouse for future projects.

For all custom projects, Tokens works with the client & artifact's historians to develop a custom authentication card that ships with each item. This card both tells the story and conveys the historical significance of the material.

Cal Haas Pavilion

June 29, 2020

In 2017 the University of California at Berkeley approached Tokens to craft VIP gifts from their retiring Haas Pavilion basketball court. We were present during the removal and worked with the demolition crew on selecting the best sections of court for this project.

Besides approaching us for bottle openers and pens made specifically from one of the two "Cal" markings on their floor, Cal presented a unique request. They wanted Tokens to help gift the Newell family with the large floor section bearing their name. As Pete Newell had passed away nearly ten years prior, the task became how to share this floor with his four sons who are all involved with basketball in one way or another. Tokens' solution was four coffee tables each with a portion of the floor markings.

The Haas Pavilion section was also saved and turned into an industrial art wall hanging, which now resides in the athletic offices inside the arena.

Madison Square Garden New York Knicks

June 29, 2020

The Knicks reached out to Tokens to develop gifts from their 2004-2011 basketball floor. A number of departments pooled together based on their individual needs.

In addition to the above functional styles, MSG had a special request for what we have called a "signature block." For small events with important Knicks alumni in attendance, they wanted a departure gift. We designed this court piece with room for an autograph to commemorate each special event.
