Additional Product Information

Seals Stadium was originally built in 1931 as home to the minor Pacific Coast League San Francisco Seals and Missions. It was uniquely designed for the dry California summers as there was no roof over the grandstand, under which, for many years, a seal tank was kept. From 1932-35, home town Hall of Famer, Joe DiMaggio, played for the Seals during his minor league days and once hit safely in 61 straight games. When the Giants moved to San Francisco in 1958, Seals Stadium was their first home as they waited for the completion of Candlestick Park. When the Giants left after the 1959 season, the stadium was demolished. For more information, please visit Authentication.
