Date of Program: 2017
Request: Develop exclusive product for sale via Budweiser Retail.
The legacy of Anheuser Busch began in 1876 with the inception of the now popularized Budweiser beer. Since then it has grown to be one of the world’s largest brewers. Over the course of their existence the success of their product has benefited from a variety of tools, materials, processes and artifacts.
Tokens & Icons connected with Anheuser Busch to create a collection of products from their iconic Budweiser Clydesdales' horseshoes & blankets & even the Beechwood Chips used in their lagering process.
Anyone who has seen a Budweiser commercial remembers “Beechwood aged to perfection".
BUDWEISER CLYDESDALES - HORSESHOES & BLANKETS
The Budweiser Clydesdales made their debut in 1933 as a Busch son-to-father gift to celebrate the repeal of Prohibition. Since then their presence has promoted Budweiser in a number of forms ranging from hitched rides and parades to commercial animal actors.
NOTHING GOES TO WASTE - BEECHWOOD CHIPS
Budweiser uses their signature Beechwood-Aged lagering process which involves the wood chips assisting in the fermentation of the beer within large maturation vessels.
Tokens included a hologram with a unique number to certify it is genuine. Consumers and gift-recipients can type this number in at Tokens website to see detailed information about the horse and their role with Anheuser-Busch.
In addition to a hologram, a custom Story Card was included along with a gift box to complete the offering.
